Frisco ISD's two first-year varsity football programs, Lebanon Trail and Memorial, faced off on Friday at the Ford Center. By late in the game, the teams' first-ever matchup had become one of the most exciting games of the year.

In the fourth quarter, the lead changed hands three times -- the final time when Memorial's Charlie Flowers threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Chris LaGrone with 1:38 left, giving Memorial a 45-40 lead.

Lebanon Trail nearly took the lead back in the final minute. The Trail Blazers' had a first-and-goal, but the Memorial defense made four straight stops to preserve the 45-40 victory.

It was the first varsity football win in Memorial's short history. Lebanon Trail got its first varsity win in the first week of the season, when it beat Fort Worth Southwest.

Flowers threw for 320 yards and four touchdowns in the game. Two of the touchdown passes were to J'Kolbe Bulock.

Lebanon Trail quarterback Lucas Rexin threw for 346 yards and two touchdowns, and Princeton Parker ran for four scores.
