With the District meet now less than a month away, Frisco ISD cross country teams are working toward peaking for the postseason meets. Last weekend's Lovejoy Fall Festival was loaded with FISD cross country runnners, and they performed well on the course at Myers Park in McKinney.

In the Elite Varsity Boys race, Reedy’s Wyatt Winguard finished third and Wakeland’s Cayden Marsh was 10th. In the Elite Varsity Girls race, Wakeland’s Chloe Smith was 11th, Liberty’s Amelia Jauregui was 13th and Liberty’s Grace DeShelter was 14th.

In the Varsity Boys Division I 5A/6A race, Memorial's Brayden Kennedy and Jotham Asmerom finished first and second and Heritage's Soham Patil was third.

In the Varsity Girls Division I 5A/6A race, Memorial's Rachel Loetzer was third.

The District Cross Country Meet will be Oct. 17 at Myers Park.
